The Taming of the Shrew

May 2023

Now in its seventh year, this is where we lay our scene: pack a picnic and take a short walk through the garden falls to the breathtaking view of Lake MacDonald framed by the spectacular Greco Roman style amphitheatre. Upon a stage, costumed players tell the story of two daughters and their suitors. Sweet Bianca longs for marriage and headstrong Kate longs for freedom. Their father wants both daughters to be married, obedient wives and will not allow Bianca to marry ahead of her older sister. Katherina is fiery and determined not to marry. Bewitching banter by the bard ensues as the eccentric Petruchio sets his sights on marrying Katherina. Uncork a bottle of wine and drink the afternoon entertainment in.

Little Seed’s production of The Taming of the Shrew - Shakespeare at the Lake played to generous audiences from May 13-21, 2023.
