Johanna Wallace (She/Her)
FOUNDER | ARTISTIC DIRECTOR | CLASS TEACHER (Junior, Intermediate & Senior Musical Theatre; Junior & Senior Acting Extension)
Email: Jo@little-seed.com.au
Captivated by all aspects of storytelling, Johanna has dedicated her life to learning how to build a community of creatives. With youth theatre as her passion, Johanna has worked with children and teenagers over the past 25 years. This passion has led Johanna to Sydney where she studied acting, and to Hong Kong where Johanna was mentored to teach, write and direct.
After Hong Kong, Johanna spent a year in Indonesia as a volunteer aid worker, helping rebuild communities following the 2004 Tsunami. During this life-changing year, Johanna gained a wider understanding and appreciation of stories and culture, which she uses in her continued creative work.
Returning to Noosa after years travelling, Johanna took on a handful of 'theatre kids' interested in acting classes. From this handful, Little Seed has grown to be a performing arts training ground producing six shows a year, and hosting weekly classes, holiday programs and housing a thriving community of creatives.
An active member of the local theatre scene Johanna has directed several pantomimes for both Noosa Arts Theatre and Coolum Theatre Players and is a three time winner of best director at the Sunshine Coast Youth Festival.
Johanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Australian Cultural Studies.
